Box making

DIn this two-day box making class, students will construct a beautiful Tasmanian Blackwood Candle-Box with a raised-panel sliding lid and African Ebony pull.

Students will choose between half-blind dovetails (advanced) or single through-dovetail with tapered wooden pins (simpler) for corner joinery; depending on their level of skills/experience/ambition. It is advised that if one has not cut dovetails before they choose the latter, as they will still learn similar skills but with more margin for error and time to execute the work.
