Chess Table for Beginners

In this beginner course, you will build a stunning chess table that doubles as a coffee table. This versatile table adds beauty and functionality to any home, serving as a sturdy coffee table while providing the opportunity for timeless, intergenerational gaming enjoyment.

This course is offered in blocks of five consecutive weekly tutor sessions of 4 hours each (20 hours of tuition).

$490 5 sessions pp and $390 materials

(plus 1.5% credit card fee)

Carving returns in August

Day 1: Sculpted Dry Vases | Day 2: Spoons

24 & 25 August 2024 9am-4pm

On Day 1 you will be exploring the sculptural forms of dry vases, they are beautiful pieces that can be used to display dried flowers and grasses in a unique and striking way.

On Day 2 you will learn to carve spoons from beautiful, seasoned timber using hand tools. The designs of these lovely objects are unlimited. They can be both practical and sculptural.

You can choose to join Carol for one or both days of carving.

7 hours per day

1 day $320 pp or 2 days $585 pp
