At the Melbourne School of Fine Woodworking, we love working with wood to create beautiful and useful pieces. Whether you’re an experienced woodworker or just starting out, our club is the place for you.
Located in Box Hill, we are a not-for-profit, member-run club that offers a friendly space to learn, create, and meet other woodworking enthusiasts. We provide hands-on tutor groups, where experienced woodworkers teach new skills, as well as a variety of short courses to explore different aspects of woodworking.

Dovetails with Dom, Hand Cut
Dovetails are an elegant and extremely functional joint that has been fundamental to woodworking throughout the ages. Cutting dovetails accurately and efficiently is a skill that every woodworker should have in their repertoire.
In this class you will learn how to cut various types of dovetails using hand tools. No routers here! The class assumes no prior experience or knowledge and starts from the basics, covering everything you need to know to develop mastery of this joint.
