Wood Finishing

This intensive two-part workshop is designed for woodworkers wishing to develop their understanding of clear finishing products and techniques. The course covers surface preparation, product selection and application techniques through demonstration. With a wealth of experience to call upon, your tutor will explain and compare the suitability of different clear finishes. Includes shellacs, oils, varnishes and waxes.

Gray has been designing and making furniture since the early 1990s.

Gray is the Senior Tutor at Melbourne School of Fine Woodworking. Beginning in 1993, he has been teaching furniture design/making, wood finishing, router techniques, tool sharpening and plane tuning, with 9 years at Coles School of Woodcraft and since 2002 at Melbourne School of Fine Woodworking.
